Building Automation Systems (BAS) are used in commercial HVAC applications. A BAS centralizes building operations management. It provides facility operators a single user-friendly online site, known as a Frontend, for optimal integration, system control, and data access. A BAS can improve occupant comfort and operational efficiencies, as well as reduce energy consumption and operating expenses. Frontends feature a HMI user interface which allows for viewing, monitoring, and adjustment of a building’s operations (i.e. temperature, alarming, and equipment). Remote mobile access to the system provides an additional convenient interface option for the facility operator.
